Terms of Service

1. About the platform

The Legal Shot is an online legal education platform operated by OneShot Studios Limited, a company registered in Ghana (“we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the platform at thelegalshot.com and any related services.

By creating an account or making a payment you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use this platform. By registering you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Account security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@thelegalshot.com if you suspect unauthorised access. We recommend enabling multi-factor authentication for all staff accounts.

4. Subscriptions and payments

Access to paid content requires an active subscription. Subscriptions are processed through Paystack and are subject to Paystack’s terms and conditions. Payment is due in full at the start of each subscription period. Access is granted only after server-side verification confirms that payment has been received; the frontend callback alone does not activate access.

Subscription renewal is reminder-driven. You will receive a notification before your current period expires. It is your responsibility to initiate renewal through the platform before the grace period ends.

All prices are quoted in Ghanaian cedis (GHS). We do not offer automatic refunds. Refund requests relating to billing errors, duplicate charges, or paid access that was never granted may be submitted to support@thelegalshot.com within 14 days of the charge and are reviewed case-by-case. In all cases, refunds are issued where required by Ghanaian consumer protection law.

5. Intellectual property

All course content, video recordings, written materials, and platform design are the exclusive property of OneShot Studios Limited or its licensed instructors. Your subscription grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access and view content during your active subscription period. You may not reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from any content on the platform.

6. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

• Share your account credentials or allow others to access your account.
• Record, screenshot, screen-capture, or otherwise reproduce video content.
• Use automated tools to access or scrape the platform.
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any technical access controls.
• Upload or distribute content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights.
• Use the platform for any commercial purpose other than your personal professional development.

Breach of these terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.

7. Content accuracy

Course content is prepared by qualified legal practitioners and is intended for educational purposes only. Nothing on the platform constitutes legal advice. You should consult a qualified lawyer for advice specific to your circumstances. We make no warranty that content is current, complete, or free from error, and we are not liable for any reliance placed on it.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Ghanaian law, OneShot Studios Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability to you in respect of any claim arising under or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for your subscription in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting support@thelegalshot.com. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, without prior notice and without refund. On termination, your licence to access content ends immediately.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or through a notice on the platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ghana. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana.
